Acclamate al Signore (Rinaldi) - mp3 - Tab - 232-1, 7/5/2017

I worked quite hard to get a "playable" and eventually good enough harmonization of this piece since a long time part of the Youth Choir of Bologna's diocesis

Agnello di Dio (Iotti) - mp3 - Tab - 242-1, 7/1/2018

A simple transcription of this invocation I often heard with chordplayed guitars; it seems to me it can be useful also something different.

Agnello di Dio (Picchi) - mp3 - 98-1, 11/10/2014

This can be a good example on how a well-known song can have a good result playing guitar, too (and, I would rather say, a new life..)

Agnello di Dio (Soli) - mp3 - 82-1, 3/1/2014, original in B flat (more or less as it is an atonal piece)

From the collection “Chiesa di Dio, popolo in festa” (EDB 1986) by rev. GianCarlo Soli published for the 1987 eucharistic congress in Bologna (see Alleluia and Atto Penitenziale as well). It is still regularly used during diocesan celebrations.

Agnus Dei (Ferrari) - mp3 - 70-1, 6/1/2013

This song (here you can find the original score and therecording of its first execution) has been composed at the end of a course of study on counterpoint, starting from the “Veni creator Spiritus” Gregorian melody. With this piece, a Sanctus and a Kyrie have been composed as well (you can find both here) and the three pieces have been executed on May 26th 2013 in the San Giuliano church in Bologna. It could be used as music after communion.

All’acqua della fonte (Bach) - D: Wie nach einer Wasserquelle, BWV 1119 - mp3 - Tab - 40-2, 9/16/2013, original in C minor

A popular Bach’s choral, simple but elegant, it’s part of the diocesan repertory since a long time. It often happen to me, working with Bach, that each single note appears so full of significance in the whole architecture that every needed cut represents a real suffering for me. I have not still experimented it.

Alleluia (Soli) - mp3 (executed in G) - 24b-1, 11/23/2009, original in G

From the collection “Chiesa di Dio, popolo in festa” (EDB 1986) by rev. GianCarlo Soli published for the 1987 eucharistic congress in Bologna (see Agnello di Dio and Atto Penitenziale as well). The original is played in G but it can be executed in F. There is also a beautiful coda written for SATB choir (see below). This transcription was made for liturgical parish purpose. I play it regularly (usually without acclamation) and it seems to me that it works quite well.

Alleluia (Soli) - 24c-1, 1/22/2014

Alleluia - coda (Soli) - mp3 (only of the coda - executed in G) - 80-1, 1/20/2014, original in G

It is the same Alleluia as above in the complete version with 4-voices coda useful during solemnity. Better use should be to propose with a single voice, answer with the 4 voices, the strophe sung by a soloist and interludes of choir, and finally 4-voices again. At the end of the Gospel the 4-voices Alleluia is repeated and it can be followed by the coda. I had to rewrite so to have the same tonality during Alleluia and coda. Needless to say that the assembly joins the choir during the 4-voices Alleluia.

Alleluia - Psalm 118 (Soli) - mp3 - 250-1, 4/19/2018, original in G

This addiction was used during the Holy Mass with the Pope in Bologna on October 1st 2017, during the procession after the Gospel called of "enthronement of the Word". The verses have to be alternated with the Alleluia used as a refrain.

Alleluia (trad.) - mp3 - 42-1, 4/22/2011, original in D, harmonization Soli

A traditional Alleluia that the Cathedral choir often used some time ago when it was still called Calab Choir (the acronym stands for Center for the Animation of the Liturgy of the Archdioceses of Bologna). A simple and good-working Alleluia that goes well with guitar use. This transcription was made for liturgical use during some masses where people from different communities were coming as it is a well-known melody

All people that on earth do dwell (Genevan psalter) - It: Noi canteremo gloria a te - mp3 - 72-1, 9/3/2013

Version 2 - 72b-1, 3/12/2016, original in G

Version 3 - 72c-1, 10/23/2017, original in G

Transcription made for liturgical parish use of this popular choral from the Genevan psalter, a collection of melodies written in the half of the XVI century under the supervision of Calvino aimed to help the new reformed churches assemblies to sing jointly. As I was not completely satisfied of the first release, I tried a second one and then a third one that I think I will use

Alto e glorioso Dio (Frisina) - mp3

Version 2 - mp3 - Tab - 108-1, 2/15/2015, original in E flat

A deliberately simplified transcription made while preparing a prayer vigil. After having prepared it in D, I discovered that it should be played in B flat (although the melody reaches very low notes) as the choir had the habit of singing it this way. This is why I rewrote (using the same outline) in A.

Amatevi fratelli (Machetta) - mp3 - Tab - 99-1, 11/20/2014, original in F

A simple transcription of this popular song. Although I keeped my work close to the author’s harmonization, the resulting arpeggio seems to me quite easy. This transcription was made because this song is used in my parish.

Amen (spiritual) - mp3 - Tab - 106-1, 1/27/2015, original in F

Trancribing a spiritual has always the problem of finding a reliable score for starting. In this case I mixed the melody as written in an old spirituals and gospels collection and the Stefani’s harmonization as published in the 1985 Nella Casa del Padre book. Transcription written while preparing a prayer vigil.

Amen (Cerino) - mp3 - 229-1, 4/30/2017, original in B flat

It is the answer to the eucharistic prayer. I used the beautiful harmonization from GianCarlo Soli

Angels we have heard on high (French noel), It: A Betlemme di Giudea, F: Les Anges dans nos campagnes - mp3 - 46a-2, 12/9/2011, original in F a version with personalized harmonization

Version 2 - mp3 - 46b-2, 12/11/2011, a version with “standard” harmonization

Version 3 - mp3 - Tab - 101-1, 12/6/2014, Simplified version

French traditional christmas song of the XVIII century, original title "Les Anges dans nos campagnes". This piece should derive form a languedoc melody later many times retouched. The use of guitar can help in lightening this simple melody make it, in my opinion, more pleasant. Here you can find a version very close to usual harmonization and a second one that play freely with natural facilities using guitar. The first transcription has been released for liturgical parish purpose. Not so bad but, after writing it, I discovered a Ruaro’s version and now I am playing this one. The last version is a complete rewrite in a simple fingerstyle. Harmonization differs from the previous versions.

Anthem: Vieni Santo Spirito (Soli) - mp3 - 95-1, 10/20/2014, original in A flat

A simple but really good and useful anthem to invoke the Holy Spirit taken by the GianCarlo Soli’s wide repertory.

As the hart about to falter(Genevan psalter) - It: Quanta sete nel mio cuore - mp3 - 39-1, 5/18/2010, original in F, harmonization Stefani

A simple and linear transcription, made for liturgical parish use, of this popular choral from the Genevan psalter, following Dante Stefani’s harmonization. Used but not so often. Fairly good. Two possibilities for this acclamation that is part of the Bologna Cathedral repertory for Easter liturgies since many years. The first version is not easy to play so I added a second simplified version.

Atto penitenziale (Soli) - mp3 - 8b-2, 9/14/2013

From the collection “Chiesa di Dio, popolo in festa” (EDB 1986) by rev. GianCarlo Soli published for the 1987 eucharistic congress in Bologna (see Alleluia and Agnello di Dio as well). I would like to quote a little excerpt written by rev. GianCarlo himself as a preface of this work:

“I finish by quoting the introductory note of the new missal (second edition): Charismas and ministries find in the Eucharist their source of inspiration and the operating field. During celebration not all have to do it all but everybody has its specific task: everyone has to carry out what belongs to him. Active attendance requires a plurality of interventions, from the ministering to the reader, to the psalmist, to the choir, to the assembly music animator

…

In this service harmonized choral, liturgy offers an image of the Church that, in every experience, builds itself with the contribution of all”.

Ave gratia plena (Ponce) - mp3 - 64-1, 7/1/2012, original in G

This transcription of the 3-voices Manuel Ponce’s choral, mexican author (1882-1948) is thought for instrumental use only. Infact the choosen tonality is far from the original and the position choosed on the fretboard doesn’t allow the use of the capo. I met this piece while preparing a wedding mass, I liked it and I tried to see how it worked on a guitar. I think it can be a good piece for meditative moments, i.e. after communion.

Ave Maria (Arcadelt) - mp3 - 117-1, 5/22/2015

Variant 1 - mp3 - 117a-1, 5/31/2015

Version 2 - mp3 - 117b-1, 6/27/2015, original in F

This very popular piece is simply a rehash of a secular song (Nous voyons que les hommes) from Jacques Arcadelt (1507-1568) made by Pierre-Louis Dietsch (1808-1865). Briefly, half a false history. Here you can find three transcriptions, the first two are unlikely playable on the original tonality (maybe the second one, I suggest to avoid to go further than D using the first one) and a third one that does not follow completely the melody so to permit to reach the F.

Ave Maria (Gregorian) - mp3 - Tab - 65-1, 7/7/2012

This is one of the most popular gregorian melody, the transcription starts from the Dante Stefani’s harmonization and it is due to an “epistolary” collaboration with Antonio. I haven’t tried it yet.

Ave Maria (Josquin Despres) - mp3 - 125-1, 10/3/2015

I prepared this work mainly for the pleasure of studying deeply this masterpiece from one of the greatest contrapuntists of the XVIth century. The tonality has been lowered of two tones and so it can be useful for an accompainment of a solo voice executing the soprano's melody or as accompainment music. It is not easy to play neither to read for the voices intertwinement.

Ave stella del mare (traditional) - mp3 - Tab - 45-2, 6/21/2014, original in F

This traditional song is still fequently used in Bologna dioceses. I have completed a transcription that I prepared a long time ago without ever playing it. Although I am not sure, I think that the harmonization I used is from rev. Antonio Rivani.

Ave verum corpus (Mozart) - mp3 - Tab - 18-2, 1/20/2009, simplified version

Version 2 - mp3 - 66-2, 10/30/2012

A couple of alternatives for this famous piece (K618, composed in 1791) from Mozart (1756-1791), one for an easy accompaniment with a solo instrument (flute, oboe etc..), the other is more elaborated and tries to be faithful to the whole score. I tried the first one during some practice with the choir with good results.

Benedici il Signore (Frisina)  mp3 - Tab - 223-1, 3/10/2017

A simple proposal of this song by Msgr Frisina that I made for a special mass. Thanks to Maria Maddalena.

Bless the Lord (Berthier) - mp3 - Tab - 231-1, 5/28/2017

A proposal for this ostinato alternative to what piblished in the "Taize" accompainment collection.

Blessed Jesus at your word (Ahle) - It: Luce divina - mp3 - 90-1, 6/16/2014, elaboration Soli

A transcription of this simple and linear XVII century choral, since a long time part of the Bologna Cathedral Choir.

Brilla una luce in cielo (Migliavacca) - mp3 - 78-1, 12/26/2013

Version 2 - mp3 - 102-1, 12/17/2014

Christmas carol whose ascription I believe should be assigned to rev. Luciano Migliavacca even if it was presented as from unknown author in the first editions ascribing to Migliavacca only the organ and four-voices choir elaboration. Transcription made for liturgical purposes. The second version maybe fits better in case you have to sing while playing (as I have to do by necessity)

Cantiamo Te (Gragnani) - mp3 - Tab - 3b-1, 5/25/2014

violin (or other instrument) accompanimentmp3 - v4, 10/11/2014

A rivisiting of one of my first pieces I tried to transcribe (see God himself is with us). I don’t use it anymore after having had the Ruaro’s transcription, but it still seems to me an acceptable work. For parish use I have also prepared a violin line.

Canto di Maria (zitti zitti) (traditional) - mp3 - 136-1, 11/27/2015

An easy transcription of a traditional italian Christmas carol that I learnt thanks to my friend Michele.

Canzone di San Damiano (Donovan) - mp3 - Tab - 19b-1, 6/21/2014, original in F, arrangement Ortolani

It’s a long time since I started “playing” with this song and, although it is not a liturgical text (for the few who don’t know, it is extracted from the  Zeffirelli’s Fratello sole sorella luna soundtrack), I admit that I used it sometimes. After some arrangements I propose it for I think that there is something good, in spite of its simplicity. During the movie it is presented twice, the second time adding some verses. I have used the first version for it seems to me more adequate and basic. I think that an instrumental coda can fit well.

Chi ci separerà (Frisina) - mp3 - 91-1, 9/5/2014

Variant 1 - mp3 - Tab - 91b-1, 21/3/2015

A well-known song from the wide Frisina’s series. This accompainment re-cover the version published in Musica e assemblea n. 153; due to this reason and due to the not easy tonality of the last verse (E flat) it may result not easy. The second is a simplified variant based on a 4-voices harmonization by Frisina himself.

Chiesa di Dio (Gen) - mp3 - 161-1, 9/6/2016

From the rev. GianCarlo Soli's “Chiesa di Dio, popolo in festa” collection (EDB 1986). It was published for the 1987 eucharistic congress in Bologna del 1987 (see Alleluia, Atto penitenziale, Agnello di Dio and Sei Tu Signore il pane). A beautiful modern choral.

Christ high-ascended (XVII cent.) - It.: Tu fonte viva - mp3 - 28-1, 12/19/2009, original in D, harmonization Cerino

Version 2 - mp3 - 28b-1, 10/20/2012, original in D, harmonization Cerino

Two possible transcriptions for liturgical use of this piece from a melody of the XVII century; for both I used the Cerino’s harmonization. The second one use an arpeggio form. I used the first version several times but I am not completely satisfied of it.

Come fuoco vivo (Gen) - mp3 - Tab - 116-1, 5/21/2015

An easy arpeggio of this well-known piece by Gen that is part of the Bologna Coro Diocesano Giovanile repertory since a long time.

Come Tu mi vuoi (Branca) - mp3 - Tab - 120-1, 6/28/2015

An easy arpeggio of this piece, part of the Bologna Coro Diocesano Giovanile repertory since a long time, close to the score at my disposal. My only advise, especially for verses, is that the accompaniment is a little support for the melody due to not easy dissonances for a standard choir. It could be better to play with instruments that sustain the melodic line.

Con te Gesù (from Sibelius) - mp3 - 13b-1, 3/17/2010, original in A flat, harmonization Soli

This melody comes from the Sibelius’s symphonic poem “Finland”, written in the very last years of the XIX century. It is a sudden insert that suddenly appears from the poem, probably a Finnish popular choral remake. GianCarlo Soli’s harmonization enhances its characteristics thank to a modern harmonization that remarks and enriches this intense melody. Transcription made for liturgical scope and used several times also as an instrumental solo at the end of the communion. Really powerful.

Cristo è risorto veramente (Giottoli) - mp3 - Tab -  248-1, 4/5/2018

I met this song while preparing a really special Easter Holy mass. Here is a simple transcription though I could not test it. I take the opportunity to thank a lot Silvia and Elena, two great persons.

Dall’aurora al tramonto (Balduzzi) - mp3 - Tab - 15b-1, 10/8/2013, original in C sharp moll

Here is the transcription of this piece that is since a long time used by the Bologna Diocesan Youth Choir, which has been one of the first ever publicly performed together with my friends from the Guitar Course of the Diocesan Liturgical School.

Doxology (Cerino-Soli) - mp3 - 126-1, 10/6/2015, original in Sib

Simple transcription for liturgical purpose. Only particularity, the use of the nice harmonization by GianCarlo Soli.

E’ Natale (Paulicelli, De Matteis, Belardinelli) - mp3 - Tab - 96-1, 11/6/2014, original in D

It is a well-known song from the "Forza venite gente" musical that I transcribed for a little parish Christmas play. I tried to stay as close as possible to the original score I have although I have some doubts on it.

Eccomi (Frisina) - mp3 - Tab - 14d-1, 7/11/2009

A simple transcription of the well-known rev. Marco Frisina’s song. Transcription prepared for the Palme vigil that the Bologna Diocesan Youth Choir animates and used in some Mass with quite good results.

Emmanuel (Brusati, Labellarte, Mammoli, Versaci) - mp3 - Tab - 77-1, 12/14/2013

Transcription based on simples chords, really easy. This song was the hymn for the Rome Youth World Day in 2000. This transcription was prepared for a little parish Christmas recital.

Evenu shalom (trad. Jewish) - mp3 - Tab - 145-1, 23/1/2016

From a Jewish traditional melody, this song is present since a long time in many celebrations. This transcription has been prepared for the request of a new friend of mine, known through the great Delcamp's forum (in which sometimes I am present with my nickname angelo61). Although what the score indicates (quarter note equal to 120), I slowed down the rythm (to 100) as an executive suggestion.

Fratello sole, sorella luna (Ortolani) - mp3 - Tab - 240-1, 12/14/2017

Popular (and overindulged) piece from the Zeffirelli's movie of the same name. I prepared it in case I had to partecipate to an event. Please, don't use it for liturgical use.

Gaudeamus hodie (Sleeth) - mp3 - Tab - 27b-1, 8/29/2014, original in B flat

This transcription was prepared for a vigil never performed (for bad-weather reasons). There are three accompaniments for this 3-voices canon (it seemed to me the minimum as we were three players).

Gaudete (fromm Piae Cantiones) - mp3Tab - 241-1, 12/26/2017, original in C

Taken from the collection Piae Cantiones ecclesiasticae et scholasticae veterum episcoporum, containing medieval songs from north Europe, published in 1582 by finnish Jaakko Suomalainen (Jacobus Finno), headmaster of the Cathedral School at Turku, this simple but well-done choral seem to be really effective. Thanks to Michele that called me to sing it in a beautiful Christmas celebration. Note: this piece has been recorded by Angelo Branduardi in his Futuro Antico album.

Genti tutte (Perosi) - mp3 - 84-1, 3/21/2014, original in C

This well-known Lorenzo Perosi’s choral whose text is from Saint Thomas, is used in Bologna Dioceses since a long time during Eucharistic processions particularly during the feast of Corpus Christi. Transcription made while preparing the parish procession for Holy Thursday.

Giovane donna (Bancolini) - mp3 - Tab - 10b-1, 6/26/2014

I finished this old and linear transcription of this famous song. My suggestion to whom could be interested in using this piece, is to take the Ruaro’s work that you can find in the“Sulle corde e sui flauti” ed. Rugginenti collection.

Gloria (Picchi)  mp3 - 226-1, 10/8/2017

A simple proposal for this popular Gloria written by Picchi immediately after the second Vatican Council. I think that guitar can give a different flavor to this piece, maybe less resonant but nevertheless interesting.

Gloria a Te (Taizé)  mp3 - Tab - 222-1, 3/10/2017

A simple proposal of this song from the wide Taizé repertory that I made for a special mass. Thanks to Maria Maddalena.

Gloria a te Signor (Jef) - mp3 - 50-1, 3/4/2012, harmonization Stefani

A simple transcription of this popular Gospel acclamation used in Lenten period. Transcription made for liturgical parish use and performed during Lent.

God himself is with us (Neander) - It: Tu sei vivo fuoco - mp3 - 1-2, 23/5/2014

This beautiful XVII century choral is one of the very first pieces that I transcribed at the end of the '90s when Tiziana, a great classic guitarist, joined the group that played in the Bologna Diocesan Youth Choir. I tried to prepare the accompaniments of some of the song in the repertory of this choir, and she was so kind to play them and encourage me. About ten years later, following a Guitar Course of the Diocesan Liturgical School, I could have a pretty smart transcription from Ruaro that, in a short time, became one of the favourite pieces for me and for my friends Elisabetta and Lorenzo. Watching back to my old work, it seemed to me not so bad, so I revised it and now I propos it for who cannot have the Ruaro's wonderful work (that I often play).

Good king Wenceslas(music from the melody Tempus adest floridum) - mp3 - Tab - 138-1, 12/26/2015, harmonization Stauff

A popular Christmas Carol talking about a Czech king giving alms to a poor during the Feast of Saint Stephen. The melody is from a  XIII century melody named Tempus adest floridum.

Haec dies (Bach) - mp3 - 114-1, 5/4/2015, original in B flat

I had already tried to transcribe this beautiful choral from Cantata n.15. Now I have made some simplifications and I wrote it for two guitars, I moved it one and a half tone below (and it’s not thought for using a fretboard) and I used an organ score as reference instead of the complete one. I hope the resulting item is quite acceptable, I will try to do better in the future. Note: to better clarify voices textures I wrote soprano and tenor voices.

He shall feed His flock (Haendel) - It : In terra di Giudea - mp3 - 210-1, 1/16/2017

From The Haendel's Messiah since a long time it is part of the diocesan repertory due to the text adaption from Giancarlo Soli. I tried to keep it simple so to have the opportunity of using it quite easily

Holy is the Lord (Schubert) - It : Salga a te Signore - D : Heilig, Heilig, Heilig - mp3 - 81-1, 2/3/2014, original in F

A beautiful Schubert’s choral frequently used during Diocesan celebrations, particularly for the Corpus Christi. The text here reported is from De Stefanis. I was analyzing this score and I realized that, with a simple lowering of key, it could easily become playable with the guitar.

Hymn for the Holy Year of Mercy (Inwood) - It: Inno per l'anno Santo della Misericordia - mp3 - 124-1, 27/8/2015

A sort of preview for this that will be the official hymn for the Holy Year of Mercy. Hoping that someone will appreciate..

I sing the Mighty power of God (rep. Ehrenbreitstein) - It: La creazione giubili - mp3 - 142-1, 1/6/2016

A simplified version from this classic choral. A beautiful option (that I frequently play) is in the Pierangelo Ruaro's booklet “Sulle corde e sui flauti

Iesu dulcis memoria (gregorian) - mp3 - 154-1, 3/11/2016

Gregorian chant which lyrics might have been written by Saint Bernard of Clairvaux. This is another sample of the cooperation with my friend Orlando

If you but trust in God to guide you (Neumark-Bach) - It: Se tu m'accogli - D: Wer nur den lieben Gott lasst walten - mp3 - 29-1, 23/12/2009, original in G

Trascription for liturgical use of this famous choral; I substituted it with the Ruaro's version that I received after this work. Who will have the opportunity to see of the Ruaro's trancription will be able to notice that the last chors is a major one. Obviously, this is not a print error but it respect Bach's original harmonization. I left the minor chord to stay close to the most commonly versions usually sung. The choral is “Wer nur den lieben Gott lasst walten”.

Il canto degli umili (Machetta) - mp3 - Tab - 37-1, 11/30/2010

From Anna’s canticle, a simple transcription from the popular Domenico Machetta’s piece. This transcription was prepared for a vigil never performed (for bad-weather reasons).

Il disegno (Marani) - mp3 - Tab - 74-1, 11/23/2013

This song has become a real classic for baptismal or vocational celebrations. The melody line reported is extracted from the “Laudario” collection, ed. Rugginenti 1981 (I underline it because there are many different and unchecked version. This work is originated by a correspondence with Patrick.

Il Signore è il mio pastore (Passoni) - mp3 - Tab - 22b-2, 6/26/2009, original in A moll, harmonization Soli

violin (or other instrument) accompaniment - mp3 - v2, 3/1/2014

This really popular song, which text has been written by Father Turoldo on a melody by Ismaele Passoni, has been brightly harmonized by rev. GianCarlo Soli (for 4-voices choir). This transcription largely benefits of the harmonic richness of this version. Transcription made for parish liturgical use and performed many times with quite good results. Here you can also find an easy accompaniment thought for a violin that I executed frequently with good effects. It is written in F sharp moll for this fits better for the assembly.

Il Signore ha messo un seme (Chieffo) - mp3 - Tab - 147-1, 1/31/2016

Requested by my friend Orlando, here it is a very simple accompaniment of this piece that was really popular around the end of the 70s from a songwriter close to the C.L. world.

Il Signore ti ristora (Taizé) - S: El Senor es quien restaura - mp3 - 33-1, 5/3/2010, original in C sharp moll

I wrote this transcription because I could not find an officialo ne (that may exist as there is a wide Taizé production). Trancription made while preparing a vigil with a Taizé group.

In comunione (Parisi) - mp3 - 149-1, 2/6/2016

Among the songs my friend Orlando proposed to me, I was surprised to read this title, maybe a little bit outdated. Anyway I took off the score and here it is the result.

Innalzate nei cieli (Martorell) - mp3 - 5b-2, 9/24/2013, original in G moll

It can be discussed the tonality as it seem to be a modal (or neo-modal) style. Transcription of this well-known piece, particularly indicated during Advent, made for parish liturgical use.

In Thee is gladness (Gastoldi) - It: Gioia del cuore - D: In dir ist freude - mp3 - 110-1, 28/3/2015, original in F

This chant was written at mid ‘500 as a love song; Gastoldi, Lombard musician, derived from it a dance for voices and instruments (1591). During ‘600 a German author adapted a religious text on it for Lutheran liturgy ("In dir ist Freude"). Bach resumed it in his "Orgelbüchlein". Recently it has been renewed with a French text first and then with the text "Gioia del cuore" written by Eugenio Costa (from “Musica e Assemblea” n.35). English text is “In Thee is gladness”, here reproduced

In the Lord I'll be ever thankful (Berthier) - It: Il Signore è la mia forza - S: El Senor es mi fortaleza - mp3 - Tab - 105-1, 1/16/2015

An “ostinato” already part of the Bologna Diocesan Youth Choir, in a linear transcription made while preparing a Lent vigil (see Nada te turbe).

Io credo in Dio (Parisi) - mp3 - 201-1, 11/26/2016, original in G

One of the most interesting proposal of the Apostles' creed in Italian language. I tried to stay as close as possible to the harmonization published in the Repertorio Nazionale songbook.

Isaia 62 (Gardi) - mp3 - 235-1, 9/4/2017

Version 2 - 235b-1, 9/4/2017, Version 3 - (Arr. Ragno - 9/4/2017), Version 4 - (harm. Vecchi, Rinaldi - 235d-1, 9/16/2017)

One of the song choosen for the Holy mass of October 1st in Bologna celebrated by Pope Francesco. It has become popular in Bologna and it is used expecially for weddings. Here you can find 3 versions written starting by Rev. Francesco Vecchi harmonization. Two are mine, the third is from Gianni who made a beautiful work you can find in the Harmony workshop section. Then a final version written so to adapt to some modifications by Rinaldi who wrote the scores for flutes and clarinet.

Jesu joy of man's desiring Choral from Cantata n.147 (Bach) - It: Resta con noi - D: Herz und Mund und Tat und Leben - mp3 - 100-1, 11/27/2014

Guitar 1

Guitar 2

One of the most famous Bach’s choral already transcribed many times for guitar. But it happened, executing it with some friends of mine in a little concert on the Bologna Appennino, I realized that I could easily find guitar solo transcription (and not so easy) but rarely something for two guitars, so to split our efforts. At that time I used the Crafagna’s transcription with some simplifications. Instead, here you can find a work based on the original score thought for two guitars not so skilled. When i twill be possible, I would like to complete this work with a version for guitar and a melodic instrument (violin, flute, oboe or clarinet). For more convenience, I wrote two separated scores, one for each guitar.

Jesus my Lord, my God, my all (XVII cen.) - It: Hai dato un cibo - mp3 - 16d-1, 12/22/2009, original in D, harmonization Cerino

violin accompaniment violino (o altro strumento) - mp3 - v3, 6/2/2014

A well-known eucharistic choral with a rich bass line that let the possibility of an interesting transposition on the guitar. Transcription made for parish liturgical use and performed many times, it seems to work well also using a lowered key. Here you can find an easy accompaniment for violin (or other instrument). For comfort reasons, the violin score is in D so I suggest to use the guitar score with the fretboard at II.

Jube Domine silentium (sec. XIII) - mp3 - 153-1, 2/28/2016

Version 1 - 153-2, 28/2/2016

A couple of suggestions for his ancient chant made with an archaic contrapuntal 2 voices polyphony. The first one is a simple transposition from the score , in the second one I added a third line so that it will be possible to use with a three-voices choir.

Kyrie (Gregorian) - 68-1, 4/7/2013, original in D moll (rough definition just to sign a sort of reference tonality used for the harmonization), harmonization Stefani

Version 1 - mp3 - 79-1, 1/18/2014, original in D moll (see above), harmonization Pietra

For a practical accompaniment of this easy but really efficacious Gregorian Kyrie, avoiding any discussion on the opportunity of doing this. Transcription made for liturgical use but seldom used as I prefer playing with shelled chords.

Kyrie (Pietra) - 69-1, 5/18/2013

This piece (of which here I report the complete score and arecording of the first execution) has been composed at the end of a course on the counterpoint, starting from the “Veni creator Spiritus” Gregorian melody. Togheter with it, a Sanctus and an Agnus Dei have been composed too (trancribed and here available). They all have been executed on May 26th 2013 at Bologna in the San Giuliano church.

Kyrie I (Taizé) - mp3 - 31b-1, 3/16/2010, it contains 3 possible accompaniments

Three easy transcriptions for this well-known Taizé invocation, made while preparing a Vigil for Palm Sunday. I heard a good guitar player using it years later..

Kyrie 6 (Berthier) - mp3 - 36-1, 11/30/2010, it contains 2possible accompaniments

Transcription written for a Taizé prayer vigil but never performed.

Laudato sii (anonymous) - mp3 - 4b-1, 10/1/2013

A beautiful traditional melody for the Canticle of the Creatures that put in evidence, with a proper simplicity and linearity, this magnificent Franciscan praise. Transcription made for liturgical parish use. It seems to me that it works.

Laudato sii (Paulicelli, De Matteis, Beladinelli) - mp3 - 239-1, 12/8/2017

From a popular musical of the 80's. I made this work for a possible partecipation to a music-reading event.

Le mani alzate (Vercruysse) - mp3 - Tab - 246-1, 2/25/2018

A well known song from the repertory of the French musician Odette Vercruysse.

Le tue mani (Giombini) - mp3 - 55-1, 4/7/2012, original in F

Easy transcription of a popular Marcello Giombini’s song. Transcription made for liturgical parish use and following a request from Sara. I have answered to this request but I am not completely satisfied of the result.

Lo, How a Rose E'er Blooming (Spira repertory) - It: E' nato il Salvatore - D: Es istein Ros entsprungen - mp3 - 67-2, 10/18/2013, original in G, harmonization by Cerino

An easy transcription of this Christmas carol possibly sung with 4 voices. Transcription made for liturgical purposes, used some times with quite good results.

Lodate Dio (Mancuso) - mp3 -  Tab - 247-2, 3/25/2018

Lodate il Signore (Conte, Ferrante) - mp3 - 7b-1, 7/14/2015

I have resumed and completed after a long time this song, I think coming from the Rinnovamento nello Spirito movement, that has been frequently used by the Bologna Diocesan Youth Choir and characteristic for its rhythm. Please note that the passage in F is thought for a 4-voices choir so I take the melody mixing Alto and Soprano voices.

Lord Thee I love (Bach BWV 245) - It: Risorto - D: Herzlich lieb hab ich dich, o Herr - mp3 - 112-1, 4/17/2015, original in E flat

Not easy transcription of this beautiful Bach’s choral, since a long time part of the Bologna Cathedral Chorus Repertory, made on a key far from the original. In spite of this, as the original has an extension of a ninth minor (for sopranos), going from the central G to the A flat above the staff, this version could be performed, for instance, with a solo voice and, obviously, the guitar.

Luce di verità (Becchimanzi, Scordari) - mp3 - Tab - 245-1, 2/17/2018, original in E

A simple hymn to the Holy Spirit proposed in a youth meeting in Italy at the presence of Pope Benedict XVI in Loreto

Madre per le tue grazie caste e pure (Francisco Soto de Langa) - mp3 - 103-1, 12/25/2014

For what I know, it is an alternative text for the better known "Anime affaticate e sitibonde" part of the compositions known as "Laudi filippine". I played this piece sometimes ago and maybe I will use it again in the future.

Magnificat (Berthier) - mp3 - 32a-1, 3/19/2010

Variant 1 - mp3 - 32b-1, 3/16/2010

Variant 2 - mp3 - 32c-1, 3/16/2010

Three possible accompaniments for this traditional Taizé canon. Transcriptions made while preparing a participation to the Diocesan Palm Sunday vigil. I have used often the first one.

Maranatha (Frisina) - mp3 - 119-1, 6/18/2015

Another song from the “old” Bologna Diocesan Youth Choir repertory, it is quite easy to play but quite far from the melody.

Mistero della cena (De Pearsall) - mp3 - 230-1, 5/14/2017

Transcription made for liturgical purpose from this simple choral by Robert Lucas de Pearsall, an English musician of the 19th century

Nada te turbe (Berthier) - mp3 - 104-1, 1/13/2015

An “ostinato” from the Bologna Diocesan Youth Choir repertory transcribed in a linear way while preparing a Lent vigil (see Il Signore è la mia forza).

Nei cieli un grido risuonò - (Greiter) - En: All Creatures of Our God and King - mp3 - 20c-1, 4/13/2009, original in D, harmonization Stefani

Variant 1 - mp3 - 20d-1, 4/7/2012, original in D, harmonization Stefani

Version 2 - mp3 - 20e-2, 3/29/2012, harmonization Stefani

Two versions for the accompaniment of this popular Paschal choral from the XVI century author Matthias Greiter, the first one (in two different variants) more traditional, the second one based on an arpeggio. Transcription made for liturgical parish use and performed many times with good results.

Nitida stella (Bozan) - mp3 - 148-1, 2/3/2016, harmoniztion Gemmani

A simple choral from a Czech musician lived between the XVII and the XVIII century. This piece was suggested to me from my friend Orlando.

Noi ti lodiamo, Dio (Te Deum) (Rivani from gregorian) - mp3 - 238-1, 11/11/2017, original in B moll

A tribute to rev. Rivani for all he made in the Bologna Diocese. Version taken by the gregorian Te Deum still performed today

Noi veglieremo (Machetta) - mp3 - 2b-1, 2/6/1998, original in D

Version 2 - mp3 - 2-1, 3/30/2014

Used sometimes with not bad results, usually the version in C.

Non temere (Frisina) - mp3Tab - 244-1, 2/4/2018, original in C

A popular song from the rich repertoire of Rev. Frisina. It may be difficult as there is an ascending half-tone increase after each verse, thus using unusual keys.

O come all ye faithful (Wade) - It: Venite fedeli - Lat: Adeste fideles - mp3 - 23b-1, 12/24/2009, harmonization Cerino

Transcription for liturgical use of this very popular Christmas carol attributed to John Francis Wade (1711-1786). Actually, paternity is uncertain, ascription to Wade is originated from his transcription in 1743, probably from an Irish popular theme. I have used this version many times until I had a Ruaro’s version that now I tend to prefer (even if the comparison is not so unfavorable).

O filii et filiae (gregoriano) - mp3 - 146-1, 1/30/2016

I wrote the transcription of this late gregorian piece for the Easter time, while going on with a new remote cooperation with Orlando (see Evenu shalom). As I could not find a satisfactory harmonization, I tried to write by myself, writing a simple and kinear one. I hope you will not dislike.

O quam amabilis (anonymous) - mp3 - 123-1, 8/10/2015

A simple XVII century piece for three voices that fits well with a guitar accompainment.

O Sacred head now wounded (choral 157)(Hassler, Bach) - It: Signore dolce volto - D: Herzlich thut mich verlangen - mp3 - 109-1, 3/14/2015, original in B minor

The ID of this choral is due to the enumeration assigned from the great "Bach Choral - gesange" Breitkopf edition. Original title is "Herzlich thut mich verlangen", in Italy is well known as "Signore dolce volto" and the English text should be “O Sacred head, now wounded”. This is not the mostly used harmonization (of which you can find a brilliant transcription in the Ruaro’s precious collection “Sulle corde e sui flauti”). Bach was used to re-elaborate some melodies; of this Hassler’s one I found 10 variants (4 of which from St Mathew Passion). I choose this one in memory of Roberto, tragically died because when he was teaching me some harmony, he was used to take the Bach’s choral collection as the unique theoretical and exercise “text” and this version was given to me as an exercise, taking the bass line and asking to harmonize it.

O sacrum convivium(Molfino) - mp3 - 237-1, 10/17/2017

A choral from a 20th century musician whose strengths are the simplicity and linearity. It was performed on October 1st 2017 during the Holy mass with Pope Francesco in Bologna

O Signore nostro Dio (Soli) - mp3 - 35-1, 5/29/2010, original in F

Version 2 - mp3 - 35b-1, 3/22/2014, original in F

This canon hides a deep harmonic complexity behind a melody not difficult to learn. It was born like a joke and the original score was attached with the “end of season” greetings for the singer of the Bologna Cathedral Choir in the mid-80s. I liked it a lot and I started to make it known in my parish first and then to the Bologna Diocesan Youth Choir. Here you can find two different transcriptions that try to keep all the harmonic architecture complexity and a third (Version 2) really simplified. I use the first version quite often with good results (maybe it is one of the work of which I am most satisfied).

O world I must now leave thee (Isaac, Bach) - It: Tu nella notte triste - mp3 - 111-1, 4/9/2015, original in F

From a melody of the end of the XV century, this choral has been harmonized ten times from Bach. I choosed the version used in the St Matthew passion.

Oh happy day (Hawkins) - mp3 - 137-1, 12/18/2015

This song has been written in the late '60s by Edwin Hawkins, gospel musician, likely from an ancient choral (at least, this is the most common version but I cannot be sure of this). It was not born as a Carol but, somehow, it has become THE gospel Carol. Anyway, as it is used in my parish for a kid Christmas recital, I try to offer this accompainment, I hope not so bad. I had many problems in finding a reliable score (and I thanks a lot Annamaria for her help), I mixed more than one but still there are so many variants, expecially for the final. Note: there are many beautiful versions but, in my opinion, no one as the Aretha Franlin & Mavis Staples duo from the One Lord, One Faith, One Baptism record.

Omni die dic Mariae (gregorian) - mp3 - 155-1, 3/18/2016, original in F, harmonization Vianini

A beautiful gregorian sequence that my friend Orlando has propsed to me. I trancribed it using a good harmonization from Giovanni Vanini, director of the Schola Gregoriana Mediolanensis choir

Pane di vita (Marranzino, Pesarese) - mp3 - 159-1, 5/5/2016

This piece comes from the Rinnovamento nello Spirito. Transcription made while preparing an inter-parishes prayer vigil

Pane di vita nuova (Frisina) - mp3 - 235-1, 9/4/2017

Variant 1 235b-1, 9/16/2017

Variant 2 235c-1, 9/16/2017

A really simple transcription of one of the song choosen for the Holy mass of October 1st in Bologna celebrated by Pope Francesco. While setting up it was decided to increase the tune in the middle so I added an Eb part in the previous work (that has to be played with fretboard in the first position) and a new Eb-E score so to avoid fretboard.

Pane vivo spezzato per noi (Akepsimas) - mp3 - 141-1, 1/3/2016, original in F

This choral is already in the diocesan repertory since many years. This transcription has been prepared to enrich the Eucharistic section of this little set.

Panis angelicus (Franck) - mp3 - 94-1, 9/28/2014, original in F

Variant 1 - mp3 - 26a-2, 11/1/2014

Variant 2 - mp3 - 26b-2, 11/1/2014, original in F

Popular Cesar Franck’s piece composed at the end of the XIX century on the St. Thomas’s hymn "Sacris solemniis". Notissimo brano di Cesar Franck composto a fine ottocento su un testo preso dall'inno "Sacris solemniis" di San Tommaso d'Aquino. This version is thought for a solo tenor, I used it in a wedding some times ago. Here it is proposed a complete transcription, not easy but not too difficult, and two simplified versions (in two tonality) in which it is not transcribed the introduction and some instrumental passages.

Perché Tu sei con me (Henderson-Belamide) - mp3 - 73-1, 9/8/2013, harmonization P. Rimoldi

Easy transcription, almost completly in arpeggio, of this paraphrase of Psalm 22. This song is part, since many years, of the Bologna Diocesan Youth Choir repertory.

Praise to the Lord (rep. Stralsund) - It: Lodate Dio - mp3 - 143-1, 1/10/2016

A preamble: a Pierangelo Ruaro's unpublished version exists (and I use it regularly). This work has been written for those not so lucky to get the Ruaro's score, anyway it was written in a way simplified as much as possible.

Psalmodies 123467,7bis8 (Liberto) - 56b-1, 57-1, 58-1, 59-1, 60-1, 61-1, 63b-1, 62-1

A series of psalmodies by rev. Giuseppe Liberto, fruit of an “epistolary” cooperation with Antonio. Note: version 7bis is a different harmonization of the melody 7, with a key lowered.

Psalmody Holy Trinity (Parisi) - 43-1, 6/25/2011, original in F

This transcription was made for a Diocesan meeting for the Holy Trinity feast.

Puer natus in Bethlehem (Bach) - mp3 - 113-1, 4/18/2015, original in G moll

Having had the score of this choral in my hands as I had to sing it, following a friend request, as a tenor in a little concert, I realized that the transcription for the guitar was very comfortable. I hope that the result will not misinterpret the choral clearness.

Questo è il giorno (Soli) - mp3 - 128-1, 10/17/2015

Variant 1 - 128b-1, 10/17/2015

Two possibilities for this acclamation that is part of the Bologna Cathedral repertory for Easter liturgies since many years. The first version is not easy to play so I added a second simplified version.

Raise a song of gladness (Berthier) - Lt: Iubilate, servite - mp3 - 41-1, 4/22/2011

Really simple transcription of this popular Taizé canon. Transcription made for parish liturgical use, used many times.

Rejoyce this harvestide (Cantus firmus to counterpoint) (trad.) - mp3 - Tab- 249-1, 4/8/2018

I am not sure who wrote this melody. In the Repertorio Nazionale songbook is reported as traditional but this song was executed by the Amazing Blondel group in a 1972 record. It was called "Cantus firmus to Counterpoint" and, in the record, its authors are specified as the three of the group, John David Gladwin, Edward Baird and Terence Alan Wincott. I still haven't found any more precise indications so I think that could be of an appropriation from the three of a traditional song or, at the opposite, it could be it could be a fake ancient song.

Resto con Te (Henderson, Uelmen, Belamide, Sequeri, Stradi) - mp3 - 158-1, 4/30/2016

This piece comes from Gen Verde repertory. Transcription made while preparing an inter-parishes prayer vigil. There is also an original score for guitar but it was thought as a sort of decoration and not as a basic and complete accompaniment.

Resurrezione (Mancuso) - mp3 - 85-1, 4/9/2014

Variant 1 - 85b-1, 4/18/2014, original in E

This song was reminded to me for it was part of the repertory used from my friend Elisabetta that asked me to help her choir during Easter vigil. The metronome is setted following indication of “Nella casa del Padre” ed. 1988. At first I wrote it in the original key, then, during trials I realized that we were singing in D so I prepared this version too.

Sanctus (Ragno) - 71-1, 6/8/2013

This piece (of which here I report the complete score and arecording of the first execution) has been composed at the end of a course on the counterpoint, starting from the “Veni creator Spiritus” Gregorian melody. Togheter with it, a Kyrie and an Agnus Dei have been composed too (trancribed and here available). They all have been executed on May 26th 2013 at Bologna in the San Giuliano church.

Santo (Bonfitto) - mp3 - 97-1, 8/11/2014

This melody is often used but often badly. Please, pay attention to bar 6 (first note is a quaver !!) and to bar 19 (the three quavers are at the same height !!). But these kind of errors are not surprising. The main point is the last chord (and, consequently, the final note). It has been DELIBERATELY written a dominant chord - D major - that DELIBERATELY gives a suspension effect. The author put it to avoid an ending sensation so to underline that this chant is the beginning of the Eucharistic prayer. So, please, think at it. If you like, it's ok, else it is better if you do not use it !

Santo (Dykes) - mp3 - 21b-1, 7/14/2009

Version 2 mp3 - 21c-1, 11/10/2012

Transcription for liturgical parrish use from this well-known nineteenth century Holy from John Bacchus Dykes (1823-1876). Version 2 meets the four voices harmonization. I normally use the first version in lowered tune.

Santo (Zappalà-Mancuso) - mp3 - 25-1, 7/31/2009, original in A

Transcription for liturgical use of this popular Holy usually said Gen. Please, pay attention that normal performance practise shorten the interval between the ending of the first "Hosanna" and the beginning of the "blessed". I used the harmonization from "Nella casa del Padre" ed. 1986. I used it few times but I should refine it a little bit.

Sei tu Signore il pane (Soli) - mp3 - 140-1, 1/2/2016, original in G

Though it uses the same lyrics from Eugenio Costa, it is not the well known choral from Kirbye (of which you can find a notable transcription from Ruaro in his “Sulle corde e sui flauti”) but it is a variant written by GianCarlo Soli, published in his "Chiesa di Dio, popolo in festa" and used for a certain time in the Bologna diocese during many solemnities. The first verse was normally used as the refrain and sung with one voice, the others as verses and sung in 4 voices.

Sii esaltato (Paris) - mp3 - 83-1, 3/21/2014

A not easy to play transcription from this song that is in the Youth Diocesan Choir repertory since a long time. Main difficulties derive from the practise of raising the melody of half a tune after each verse. Second verse becomes a F# major, that has 6 alterations in key (note that even the E is sharp !). First bar of the modified tune is a propose from myself. Maybe I will rewrite it soon or later..

Silent night (Gruber) - It: Astro del ciel - mp3 - Tab - 34-1, 23/11/2009, originale in Sib

Famous Christmas Carol from Austria. Its lyrics were written in 1816 from Joseph Mohr. Two years later Mohr asked to Franz Xaver Gruber (1787-1863) to write the score for two male voices and a guitar (it seems that the Saint Nicholas in Oberndorf church organ, where Mohr celebrated, was broken) and it was performed for the first time in the midnight Mass of the 1818 Christmas by Mohr himself (playing the guitar and singing as tenor) and Gruber (singing as bass). Gruber in his "Real motivations - birth of the Christmas Carol Silent Night!" quote: "On December 24th 1818, Josef Mohr, who, at that time, was parish assistant in the new parish church of Saint Nicholas in Oberndorf, gave to the organist Franz Gruber (who worked as a teacher in the Arnsdorf school) the lyrics of a poem asking him to compose a melody suitable to be sung from two solo voices with choir and guitar accompaniment". This easy transcription for two guitars tries to suggest this song in a less trivial way, recalling someway a lullaby. Transcription made for a Christmas recital and the used in the common parish services with quite good outcomes.

Sorgente di salvezza (Parisi) - mp3 - 233-1, 15/7/2017, harmonization: Molinini

Variant 1 - 233b-1, 8/5/2017

I made this work because this piece has been choosen for the Holy Mass during the Pope visit in Bologna on October 1st 2017.

Stabat Mater (Kodaly) - mp3 - 115-1, 5/15/2015

Variant 1 - mp3 - 115b-1, 5/15/2015, original in B moll

From Jacopone da Todi’s text, Kodaly extracted this deep choral that I met when I subscribed the request of a friend of mine that was looking for tenors. The first version is lowered of one tonality from the original but it is hard to play with a fretboard. The second version, lowered to E moll, although not easy to play, is available for a VII position fretboard so to bring it back to the original tonality.

Surge qui dormis (Willcock, Costa) - mp3 - 121-1, 7/25/2015

A simple but evocative piece from the Bologna Diocesan Youth Choir repertory.

Symbolum '77 (Sequeri) - mp3 - 107-1, 2/6/2015

I discovered an old score of mine (probably is dated back to the first 80s) I propose it as I wrote it. It was one of my very first trials (maybe the first one) but it seems to me that it is not so bad. At the time I had the complete score and also an accompaniment for a flute written by rev. GianCarlo Soli that I should have used as a reference. This could explain some “whimsical” choices. I recall that there is a good transcription in the book "Chitarra e liturgia" from Pierangelo Ruaro and a final version in his collection "Sulle corde e sui flauti".

Thee will I love (Goudimel) - It: Nulla mi mancherà - mp3 - 38a-1, 5/3/2011, original in D

A beautiful choral from Claude Goudimel, author lived in the first half of the XVI century. Here you will find two different versions, the first one quite complete (you will find it in the italian version), the second one thought as an arpeggio accompaniment; you can play it jointly in the lucky case you have at least two guitar players. I played the first version first but now it seems to me that the second one sounds better even though I should get some passages better.

The star proclaims the King is here (Augsburg) - It: Il giorno ormai scompare - D: O Heiland reiss die himmel auf - mp3 - 122-1, 8/8/2015

A melody published anonymously in Rheinfelsisches Deutsches Catholisches Gesangbuch(1666 ed.). This transcription has the Dante Stefani's harmonization as a reference and it seems to me that is not so bad.

Ti seguirò (Frisina) - mp3 - 75-1, 5/12/2013, original in C

Transcription made for a brief cycle of meetings with high school boys in my parish. This song is part of the Bologna Diocesan Youth Choir repertory. It is a short piece but it works well. The original version is a little bit high to sing without a good choir (it reaches an E), in a normal context maybe it is better to stay lower.

Tota pulchra (gregoriano) - mp3 - 150-1, 2/18/2016, originale in Re minore

The ascribed tonality is rough (let's say that the used transcription was in this tonality), this piece is part of that set that my friend Orlando has suggested to me. I loose the references of this beautiful transcription, I beg pardon and I will try to repair.

Tu scendi dalle stelle(Alfonso Maria de’ Liguori) - mp3 - 76-2, 12/21/2013, original in F, harmonization Soli

violin (or other instrument) accompaniment - mp3 - v1, 15/12/2013

This is one of the most popular Christmas carols, here I present a version based on the rev. GianCarlo Soli’s harmonization. As it happens with many pieces with a contemporary style harmonization, the result is not so satisfying because I cannot move with enough ease. This transcription was made for a little parish Christmas recital but with the intent of inserting it in the Christmas liturgies. I also wrote a simple violin accompaniment made for the same occasion. It is written in D major but it can be easily transported. The experiment was good so we used it also in some Christmas masses.
